Angry Index match - not returning data (for all cells)

    Hi there,

I have somehow stumbled my way across to get an index function to work with a project plan.

Please find spreadsheet attached. On the Project Planner snapshot sheet, you will see on the right-hand side (ID) and 'Actions for the next meeting'. Using the relevant ID number, actions for the next meeting are pulled from the first tab (AMP Panel actions). It's not quite pulling through things (see ID no. 11 for example). Any thoughts on this would be much appreciated.

I had a look at the attachment quickly and could not immediately determine where we are supposed to be looking - could you give cell references? There is a lot of data to soft through!

Re: Index match - not returning data (for all cells)

    Hi Ali,

Sure. So if we start on the first tab:

AMP Panel Actions, cell K2 has 'Actions for next meeting' pooulated. Moving to the tab 'Project planner snapshot', cell P2 has an ID number (collected from A2 on the same sheet) and to the right of it, should reference the actions for next meeting from K2... however, different IDs have different actions (K2)... unsure if I am over complicating it?
    Thanks,

    R.

    In Q2

    =INDEX('AMP Panel actions'!$K$2:$K$41,MATCH($P2,'AMP Panel actions'!$A$2:$A$41,0))

    Copy down
