    Placing players 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc....

My problem is RANK function will not work under this situation.
    I need to place players 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. on a score sheet. 1 win = 2 points, Loss = 0
To break ties (Which are many) there is a shot differential (Shots For - Shots Against).
There are 3 games w/ a total of 6 game points possible.
Any team w/ 6 game points is automatically above anybody who lost a game (ie; 4 game points, and 2 game points to 0).
Shot differential is added to the game points to determine placement of the ties. Unfortunately, several of the teams who lost games have total points w/ shot differential higher than the teams who lost no games (ie; 6 game points).
It's a very basic spreadsheet that I made, BUT.....
I'm trying to use the RANK function, which is out of the question.

    Any suggestions?

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

May be there are teams with same games point, same Shots diff, but different Ends Won.
This will break down the difference, follow the order of upper priority
    In AU8 then drag down:

Thank you very, very much bebo...You are a Genius
It worked all the way across the board...You figured out the Conditions of Play

The Team w/ the highest Game Points (Wins * 2 = Game Points) will prevail.
If there should be a Tie on Game Points, Shot Differential will be used (Game Points + Shot Differential)
If there is still a tie, Ends Won will be used (Game Points + Shot Differential + Ends Won)
If that is tied(?) I will have to take that to the World Bowls Committee in California. They have some % used to break that Tie based on(?)

Thank you again for all your help...Very much appreciated!!

    Apologies Paul,

I initially posted in several forums looking for an answer. No replies were working on this particular situation. bebo masterfully came up w/ the solution, which worked perfectly.

    It will not happen again!

In that case, you are required both here and at Mr Excel to provide cross-post links to ALL of the forums concerned. You should also ensure you comply with whatever cross-posting rules those other forums have, too.
