Hi. I'm new and this may be a stupid question but please help. I have a series of dropdown menus in excel. I want to conditional format the chosen item but have that automatically format the cell on the original list which the dropdown choices came from. So, if I choose Elephant from a list of animals and format the cell blue, the cell which contains elephant on the list also turns blue. Does that make sense?
it's easy to highlight the value on the list that corresponds with the DD selection. But if you want to highlight it sometimes in blue, sometimes iin red, etc, then I suspect you'll need VBA.
