Question Merge duplicate cells in a column, while retaining information in other columns?

    Hi there,

Excel is definitely not my strongest skill (by a long way) so apologies if this is really basic and it's just going completely over my head.

I've been handed a very long spreadsheet of treatments had by clients, along with the person's email etc. If they had more than one treatment, they come up multiple times in the collumn. Instead, I need one row for each person and the treatment information in different collumns with yes/no data, to be used in email software.

I have attached a photo of an example spreadsheet (and also the spreadsheet) which shows what I'm up against, any help would be much appreciate - and yes, I am a total excel noob.

    Thank you in advance!!

Is this just a one-time conversion you need to do? If so, follow these steps:

Create another worksheet (let's call it Sheet2)
    On Sheet1 select column B.
Go to Data, SOrt & Filter, Advanced.
    Select "Copy to another location"
    Select Unique Records Only.
Click on Copy To and select cell I1
    Click OK
    Select column I
    Cut (or CTRL+x)
    Select Sheet2 column B
    Paste (or CTRL+V)
    In C2 enter this formula:
    Formula: copy to clipboard
Please Login or Register to view this content.

then copy down for all rows of data
Copy headings from Sheet1!D:G to Sheet2!D:G
    In D2 enter this formula:
    Formula: copy to clipboard
Please Login or Register to view this content.

Copy to E2:G2, then copy D2:G2 down for all rows of data

I have attached a file where I did these steps.

To finish, select Sheet2!C:G, Copy, then Paste Values to convert formulas to values.
