Rank with Sub-Categories and Tie-Breaks (2018)

Hi guys,

Was just reading this thread (https://www.excelforum.com/excel-for...ie-breaks.html), but unfortunately like carasoulia; my data doesn't have a third critera for a tie-breaker.

I'm currently using the folloiwng forumla to rank the data in their respective groups (=1+SUMPRODUCT(--(A2=$A$2:$A$17952),--(B2>$B$2:$B$17952)))

That formula works great, until it gets to a matching value:

.. & my attempts to creat a tiebreaker, so far, haven't been pretty!

If anyone has a solution, it would be greatly appricated
