I'm looking for a way to search a value in a column and another one in a row of a table to return the correct value. I've tried MATCH, INDEX, and VLOOKUP - perhaps I'm just writing it incorrectly, but I can't make them work for me.

=VLOOKUP(G7,A$3:D$5,MATCH(H7,A$2:D$2,),)
=HLOOKUP(H7,B$2:D$5,MATCH(G7,A$2:A$5,),)
