    Angry hyperlink issues

    Hello all!

I am starting to get this report that i built a workbook with. I have a main data sheet in the workbook that I plan on continually adding info to. i the created tabs for each outside rep that are a connect copy of the main data by clicking, get data, from a file, workbook and choosing the main data sheet in the workbook. i did this because i wanted each rep tab to be the exact same data from the main tab just filtered specifically for the rep and so that way as I add to the main data when they go to their tab and click "refresh" all the added data pulls in for them. The problem i am having is that the report's first column are hyperlinks to web pages from the system the report is coming from. these links work fine on the main data sheet and DID work find on the reps tabs after i highlighted the first column in each tab, clicked insert, link, and choose the existing workbook. now, the rep tabs pull the first column fine but they are not coming through as copies of the clickable hyperlinks. they just all point back to the workbook. is there a way to do what i am trying to get done? I can email the work book so you can see what i have done. maybe theres an easier way but this workbook is pretty easy to put together and should/does work fine aside from pulling over the hyperlinks correctly.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

You need to upload the workbook so that we can see precisely what we're deailinb with.

In essence though I doubt that extracting separate tabs for individuals is the best way to proceed. You seem to have a good database so use it.

It does depend to some extent on how you want to use it but personally I'd just use a Pivot Table and some slicers to filter the PT for the elements you want, e.g. a particular rep.

Othterwise I'd have single output worksheet and use an Advanced Filter to select the data for a particular rep at report run time. If it's a case of churning out individual files for each rep then create a short macro to loop through every rep, output their data to the output sheet and create a new file.
