Question SUMPRODUCT with skipping columns and column Breaks

    Hi All

This is a follow up to a previous thread (SUMPRODUCT with skipping columns) with the difference that I have a column break between years whereby when I copy the working formula it does not work for the second year onward.

Your assistance and guidance is appreciated as I have been breaking my head for a while now on this ....

    Thank you
    Junaid

Unhappy Re: SUMPRODUCT with skipping columns and column Breaks

    Hi Ali

My apologies. When I try to create the link, I get an error "You are not allowed to post any kinds of links, images or videos until you post a few times."

I guess as I get more involved in the Forum I will be able to later.

    Regards
    J

You are right - it's a new restriction. Here's the link for you: https://www.excelforum.com/excel-for...g-columns.html

Try this in C2, copied across and down:

    =SUMPRODUCT((PLAN!$A$3:$A$7=REGISTER!$A2)*INDEX(PLAN!$C$3:$IM$7,,(1+4*(COLUMNS($A$1:A$1)-1))-3*INT((COLUMNS($A:A)-1)/13)):INDEX(PLAN!$C$3:$IM$7,,(4+4*(COLUMNS($A$1:A$1)-1))-3*INT((COLUMNS($A:A)-1)/13)))

Format shading & font colour black in year break columns.

Off topic: @Ali: a lot of those threads included links in the thread title. Does it stop that too?
