Pulling Entire Rows of Data from a table or other worksheet

I am not sure how to describe the action as I am still learning.

Have a list of 211 athletes, each with 30 cells of data in a single row.

Need to be able to have two drop down boxes where I can pull athletes and all of their row data in so that I can compare them (stacked vertically so the data fields match).

Of course I could always copy and paste into a new sheet or below, but we need to be able to do this 50 plus times day and it can take awhile to scroll to locate.

    Thank you

Hi Coach and welcome to the forum,

This sounds like you want an AutoFilter of your data. Here is an example.

Yes Marvin, that does certainly work for our purposes. Thank you. Might be asking for the world here but...

Would there be a way to do this multiple times? Meaning creating dozens of matchups, IE Create one pair, move down a few rows and create another and so on?
I guess what I am trying to avoid is doing a comparasion via the filter, and then losing it or having to recreate it each time. Is there a way to pull this data into designated cells.

    For example.

    Guards
    Player 1 -----Data
    Player 178 ----Data

    Player 44 ----Data
    Player 92 ----Data

    Tackles
    Player 88
    Player 101

If I understand I believe that using dependent drop downs is what you are looking for.
On the Data sheet there is a sample roster with sample data in columns A:E
A list of positions is in column G.
A list of each position group is populated using:
    Formula: copy to clipboard

A count of the names in each position group is given in row 1, populated using: =SUMPRODUCT(--((I3:I8<>"")))
The position groups are input as named ranges and the counts are named also (look at the Name Manager on the Formulas tab).
The data validation in each yellow cell of the Comparisons sheet has a source of: =Data!$G$2:$G$4
The data validation for each of the pair of dependent drop downs below the yellow cells has a source similar to:
    Formula: copy to clipboard
