Question Excel 2010 how show data from another worksheet if value matches

    Hi

I only have basic skills but what I have been asked to build is a little to complex and I am not sure if it is possible

I create a daily manifest, however I need it to start listing data in a cell if the data is true in another cell.

so in my book there are 3 worksheets for this task, in this I will call them W1 & W2 & W3

ok so in W1 the cell A5 contains data from W3 like this =W3!B4, what I need is for excel to search W2 for the data in column A , then if it finds the data lets say in Cell A15 then back on W1 in cell A10 it shows data from the same row as W2 specifically the cell data a few columns along to where this was found in E15.. also this code will need to be repeated up to 33 times with different cells

I hope that makes sense what the actual sheet does is creates a daily delivery manifest, I need to add a worksheet to display all Purchase Order number relating to that specific reference on the delivery manifest, once I can get the data to show I can do the rest

I would love to share the sheet also but it contains data I cannot share, if anyone does need it to help, let me know and ill wipe it and put dummy data in

    Re: Formula Help

Please take a moment to re-read forum rule #1 and then amend your thread title to something that better explains your problem. Changing your thread title is not optional, which means you must change it. Thanks!

    • Use concise, accurate thread titles.
    • Your post title should describe your problem, not your anticipated solution.
    • Use terms appropriate to a Google search - poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice tell us nothing.
    • Responding to a request to change your thread title by doing so is mandatory.

To change a title go to your first post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title.

No help to be offered, please, until the OP complies with this request.

Of course you can share you workbook - just desensitise the data first.
