Excel Function SUMIF or SUMIFS

Hi all,

I am trying to sum a few cells in excel based on certain criteria. My worksheet looks similar to the attached where i want to be able to sum all cells that correspond to a given value and falling under a given month as in the attached. I am unable to work the logic out and wondering if someone out there could help. Thanks in advance.

Change June to Jun and try this in C3:

=SUMPRODUCT((TEXT($J$2:$AF$2,"mmm")=C$2)*($J$3:$AF$7=$B3),$J$4:$AF$8)

Thanks for your response. The formula is working in that worksheet, however when i am trying to replicate that on a larger version of the sheet, it is giving me a value error.

Please see attached for reference. What am i doing wrong?

Thanks for the response mate. It seems to be working fine. I have tried replicating the formula on a larger spreadsheet and it appears to be doing what it is intended to. Attached a sample including leelnich's formula which seems to be giving a value error. I may be doing something wrong with that, i guess.
