Question Formula only works on first cell specified in range (AGAIN!)

    Hello everyone,

I asked an original question here, it was answered, but i wanted an easier way then copy and pasting a formula 365 times, so i learnt how to do relative pasting, but the formula for it brought back my original problem. I did ask on the original post, but it was swampped by then. Here is the original post for referal.

So this is the code I worked out to get it to as i copy the formula down on the overview, move the selection of cells it is testing across.

What is the formula supposed to do? Where is it supposed to be? what are your expected results?

Ok so there is an overview page, and the more detailed month pages

the original formula was meant to when i wrote somthing on the detailed page it highlighted the overview page to tell me something is on that day

originally it would only work on the first row selected in the range, which is 00:00

but i would have had to alter the formula for each day 365 so i did some research, found how to have it move the cells selected across 1 every time i went down, and i fixed that so i only had to do it once for each month

but now it is back to only working on 00:00 time slot

The formula is applied to all dates on the overview, and references the days on the detailed. if you look on January you will see test - ok, they work, test -fail doesn't, it won't work for the other timeslots and i don't know how to fix that

Try this as the formula for the conditional formatting rule for the month of January:
    Formula: copy to clipboard

Notice that there are two commas inside the INDEX function. This is because the days on the January sheet are laid out in columns not rows, and the third argument of INDEX is for columns.

All I did was to select the range A2:D32 on the 'Overlook' sheet > open conditional formatting > manage attachments > edit rules > pasted the formula into the window.
Attached is a copy of the file with the conditional formatting formula applied.

    I worked it out

I had to remove the double ' either side of the astrix and then of course set the selection to the full sheet and it worked pefectly
