i want to indicate how many days upto-now on my vacation kindly help me screen short attached

Make sure Column C contains dates not text.

1. Please try to format your dates as Date
2. In Days column, just subtract the two columns.
However, this includes weekends. Hope this helps.
1st, are your dates real dates, or text looking like dates - text with =isnumber(ell-ref) FALSE indicates text and we will need to convert them.
If all else fails, upload a small (clean) sample workbook (not a pic) of what you are working with, and what your expected outcome would look like.
edit: Just saw your sample file, and your dates are text, not dates - I will see what I can come up with for you

OK, try this...
=TODAY()-DATE(RIGHT(C4,4),MID(C4,4,2), LEFT(C4,2))
formated as General.
You really dont need column D
