    produce text result instead of #NUM! result in array formula

    Hi there

    This array formula returns the smallest value, from cells in the column b range that contain values greater than zero and have blank cells next to them column A. At the moment, if all excel cells in the column b range that have a value greater than zero have non-blank cells column A, then i get #NUM!
    How can I adjust this array formula so that instead of getting #NUM! in this circumstance, i get "Finished"?
    There will always be a value greater than zero in the column b range.

    {=SMALL(IF(A5:A1048576="",IF(B5:B1048576>0,B5:B1048576)),1)}

    Thanks

    To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook. The workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

    To attach a file to your post,
    click advanced (next to quick post),
    scroll down until you see "manage file",
    click that and select "add files" (top right corner).
    click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"

    Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
    You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.

    Something like this?

    =IFERROR(SMALL(IF(A2:A11="",IF(B2:B11>0,B2:B11)),1),"Finished")
    One test is worth a thousand opinions.
