Formula for Cell to input Date&Time ONLY if Cells in the same row change info

I'm trying to get a cell to input the Date&Time only if Cells in the same row change info. Then have a Column of cells do the same thing.

For example cell A1 populates with the current Date&Time if any cells from B1:L1 has info inputted into them; then cell A2 populates with the current Date&Time if any cells from B2:L2 gets info inputted into them but cell A1 doesn't repopulate with the same Date&Time that gets populated into cell A2; so on and so forth through Column A.

In the Attachment I'm including the starting cell for the Date&Time would be $A5 and the cells from that row for it to look at $B5:$J5.

I have tried a few different way to get it to work using the NOW function with IF, And, OR, Statements but every time I go to the next row (with the same formula in $A6 for Date&Time to be inputted if $B6:$J6 has any info) both $A5 and $A6 update with the exact same Date&Time.

I Just realized that I cleared out Column A of the last attempted formulas I tried and they should be blank

If you want to "freeze" a given Date & Time, you will need VBA to do this.

damn I kinda forgot about VBA. and I Have no VBA skills so I guess I'm out of luck with it
