Formula for getting data for pareto

    Hi!

I want to know the formula to get the data to make pareto chart. As it is known that for pareto, correct sequence is required but in my case the data is changeable so i want to have the support to make it happen through formula even if my data is changes.

Please refer to the attached File.

    In the File :

Sheet "Process Details contains the data for 3 category i.e. "Process 1", "Process 2" & "Process 3"
Item sequence will remain same. Value may changes.

Sheet "Pareto" , I want to select the Process in Cell C4. Based on the selection, i want all the related items, should come in D Column.
Based on the items, related value should come in E Column.

But as i want to make Pareto Chart on this sheet, i need data in the sequence.

OR if any other idea to prepare the pareto chart, will be happy.

    Thanks in advance for support.

This should do it for you.

It looks at the value selected in cell C4 on the Pareto Sheet, finds it on the Process Detail Sheet, Copies the data into the table on the Pareto Sheet and sorts the table.

One spreadsheet to rule them all. One spreadsheet to find them. One spreadsheet to bring them all and at corporate, bind them.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.

    Hi! DFLAKE,

Thanks for the solution given by you. I really appreciate it.

But at the same time, i wanted to have some type of formulised arrangements as i am null in VBA and may not be able to use in other sheet.

Please see if you have anything in the ocean.

    Thanks
