    Copy and paste function not working

    Someone just helped me learn how to link two separate workbooks (Parts example and Clin Tracking example) to auto update and that saves me so much time. I am so appreciative. But I now have a new question. I have the formula set on Clin Tracking example Cell D6 and it is working but I am unable to copy and paste or drag it down through that column so that each row will do the same. I can copy and paste but it is copying the actual formula without automatically changing the D6 to D7 to DB, etc. It is copying to reflect the exact formula to include D6.

    Is there a secret I am not aware of as to how to get it to auto copy and paste with the correct cell reference?Parts example.xlsxCLIN Tracking example.xlsx

    I had to run out yesterday. I do apologize. It was the "$" in my formula. I did get it figured out. Thank you.
