Formula to take info from various sheets

    Good day

Please help, i am trying to create a workbook in excel that i can have several sheets with different dates of Aircraft Maintenance expiry (each sheet is labeled already). I want each sheet to sort into one sheet and show me the Aircraft registrations and dates of these items expiring this month.

It needs to be easy to look up...

Anyone got a magic way of doing this, please assist...

    Thank you

Will you please attach a sample Excel workbook? We are not able to work with or manipulate a picture of one and nobody wants to have to recreate your data from scratch.

    1. Make sure that your sample data are REPRESENTATIVE of your real data. The use of unrepresentative data is very frustrating and can lead to long delays in reaching a solution.

    2. Make sure that your desired results are also shown (mock up the results manually).

    3. Make sure that all confidential data is removed or replaced with dummy data first (e.g. names, addresses, E-mails, etc.).

    4. Try to avoid using merged cells as they cause lots of problems.

Unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment, so to attach an Excel file you have to do the following: just before posting, scroll down to Go Advanced and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

Please pay particular attention to point 2 (above): without an idea of your intended outcomes, it is often very difficult to offer appropriate advice.

Because you added your attachment to your opening post, nobody knew it was there. You should have added it to a new post! Now that you have bumped the thread, someone will have a look.

If you want the output as shown, it can be done; but wil be cumbersome. Two columns per category.... one for the aircraft ID and one for the date is easy...

Do you have a better idea as to how i can do this without it being cumbersome?
I basically need the one sheet to show me what is going to be due for that month... Open to suggestions!

Re: Formula to take info from various sheets

I'd do it like this, using variants of this formula:

    =IFERROR(INDEX('C of A''s'!A:A,AGGREGATE(15,6,ROW('C of A''s'!$A$3:$A$256)/(('C of A''s'!$B$3:$B$256-TODAY()<=31)*('C of A''s'!$B$3:$B$256-TODAY()>0)),ROWS($1:1))),"")

This will give you what's due in over the next 31 days. Or do you want it to be more static... and show you the calendar month in which you are in? Or what???
