Addth with MIN formula

I have a row of positions finished that I want to find the highest one for.
When I have found that value using the MIN formula am I able to place a st, nd, rd ending depending on what the highest position is (eg: 1 = 1st)
This is the formula I have tried...

It gives me an error of course. Is there an easier way or do I need to adjust this formula?

Re: Addth with MIN formula

Excel has SMALL or LARGE function to do that:
=SMALL(A4:A16,n) with n=1,2,3,...

Re: Addth with MIN formula

See if you can adapt this to your needs?
LOOKUP(cell-ref,{1,2,3,4,21,22,23,24,31},{"st","nd","rd","th","st","nd","rd","th","st"})

You probably dont need anything after 3rd, but it's there anyway

You would probably need to use RANK with this
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you
