Returning multiple Values from a VLOOKUP?

Im looking to return the trade references on data sheet to the B column on interface sheet.

Im trying to use either index and match or vlookup to return all the trade refs based on two conditions:

condition 1: Client number typed in E2 'interface sheet'
condition 2: type A or B from drop list E1 in 'interface sheet'

i can get a vlookup lock for the first instance using index and match, but not any instances where the client has more than one trade ref.

if anyone can help by looking at the attached workbook, id greatly appreciate it

    Regards

    Jon

Sorry - I'm not clear exactly what you want. Please manually populate your interface sheet with a choice of criteria and the results you are expecting for that choice, then attach the workbook again.

VLOOKUP and INDEX MATCH on their own don't return more than one value. I will show you how to do it once I have the updated workbook.

Your description doesn't seem to tally with your sheet. Please amend your sheet to show clearly which cell(s) contain your search criteria AND include some manually calculated results. Forget about the non-working formula.

Re: Returning multiple Values from a VLOOKUP?

Hi sorry I uploaded the wrong file and appologies for the lack of clarity before.

Basically, im trying to create a workbook that will retrieve order numbers from the main database, based on client code and by what product.
We have two products, A and B.

Ive managed to get an index and match workbook to workbook but it only returns one value. I need to be able to return all the occurences and display them all in a vertical list.

So for instance if I type in a client code in cell E6 in my workbook, if cell E5 says "A", i want it to list all order numbers for that client, for that product, in column b.

Ive attached the two example workbooks. As I said, appologies for the rushed email initially. I do hope you are able to help me with this!

    Kind regards

    Jon
