Check for Duplicates in 2 columns

Hi, hope I explain this correctly,

I have a worksheet, its an analysis of receipts with Columns:- Date, Paid by, Designation, Gross, Vat, Net
The List is quite long 1000-2000 rows.
I am trying to find a way of finding duplicate entries.
So i am trying to check the date column for the same dates and the gross column for the same amounts and highlighting only the rows that BOTH date and gross are the same.
I can sort the sheet in Date order to make it easier.
Is it possible, if so how ho I go about it.

    This is what i'm after.

    1/1/18 £10
    1/2/18 £10
    2/3/18 £99 <--- Highlight
    2/3/18 £99 <--- Highlight
    4/5/18 £99
    4/5/18 £33

    Thanks in Advance

I am also open to any other suggestions, I'm sure this is a common(ish) problem

    Hi bwian,

Conditional Formatting should do what you want. If you create a helper column and concatinate the two columns together and then use the Duplicates format from CF it might be what you want.

If the above doesn't work then read this site below:

    for a possible formula solution.
One test is worth a thousand opinions.

Another way is to do it by formula.

With Applies to set A1:B6 and "Use formula to determine which cells to format" this formula
    Formula: copy to clipboard
