    how to get week number from date range of the month

    Hi,

    I actually don't want to merge date from Mon-Sun as a week number. I want to use formula to define week # from total date range 1st-31st of the month. and date between Monday-Sunday as week# show.

    Please find attached file what in expected in yellow highlight.

    Try this in G4 and fill down. It returns in same format all the way down and not with a single date as the sample shows.

    Although it would be much simpler to use a helper column in E3 filled down as in the attached with this formula.

    You could also copy the helper column and paste values only to F4. Then use the remove duplicates feature.

    However, can we change from column "D" = manual key to helper column what is the thing i need to change becuz when i change to helper column it can define only W26 and the follow week shown only W27.

    I'm very poor in excel.

    I mean the last one you help me is looking data from column that i merge cell however, it is possible if i can look up column that we use formula.
