if statement with countifs statement with two variables

    Hi all

I hope someone can help me, I am wanting to write an IF statement where by if a count of a term appears over 7 times or more in a single month, then the IF formula should calculate certain way. If the total count for a particular word is less than 7, than the IF formula shall calculate a different way. This formula would have to then be reset for each subsequent month. I hope this makes sense, I have provided a simple example worksheet to clarify.

    Thank you all

In the attached there is a lookup table that defines lower and upper boundaries of each month. Formulas are

    and
    Formula: copy to clipboard

    In D2 and down

Edit I believe row 20 should also be double.

    Hi

Thank you all for your posts.

Apologies for my delay in responding. Shukla thank you, your countif formula works. To make it work with my calculations I included it as part of of my AND statement. The calculations I have in there are a little more complicated than the example calculation I provided so I had to tweak it a bit.

FlameRetired apologies I didn't try your formula.

I will now mark this forum solved.
