Sumifs Index Match with various criteria on same column

Hi there,

First off, I would like to apologize if I seem a bit lost, it is my first post here so I will try to keep it short.

I am trying to find a way to sum various criteria found on a vertical range, base on a match found on a horizontal range. On the enclosed sheet, the following formula is included on cel A18 =SUMIFS(INDEX($C$8:$G$15,MATCH("grand total",$B$8:$B$15,0),0),$C$7:$G$7,$A$4). the formula works when I want to sum the results for july(A4) and the first grand total (row 11), but in addition to the first grand total, I would like to add the row identified with the other grand total (row 15) and the rows with number 3 (rows 10 and 13).

Hi, welcome to the forum

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook. The workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

To attach a file to your post,
click advanced (next to quick post),
scroll down until you see "manage file",
click that and select "add files" (top right corner).
click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"

Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.
