Can I use a list of formulas in a named range and then create a DV drop down?

I am trying to find a work around for being able to type in a cell over a formula but NOT loose the formula.

I have tried using VBA but for some reason that isn't working for me at all.

What I am wondering now, is there a way to put all my array (I used Ctl+Shift+Enter) formulas in a list, then create a named rage called 'formulas' then go to my C7:C46 range where I want the formula to be and then apply data validation to that rage- 'formulas' but allow blank cells and typing by unchecking the error boxes? Is there a way to do this?

I don't know how you would expect it to be possible to type a value into a cell but not lose the formula, even with VBA. You cannot have both a value and a formula in the same cell. If you mean "save the formula somewhere else" that is possible in VBA by using Undo. But you haven't provided enough specifics for us to provide a concrete solution.

Is C7:C46 different than the named range "formulas"? Your wording makes it unclear as to where you want to apply the data validation. If you have formulas, why would want to apply data validation? Data validation only applies when you enter a value into a cell.

What "error boxes" do you want to uncheck?

It is not at all clear what you want to do here.

I think your best bet is to create a file showing your list of formulas, and walking through a specific example of how you would want this to work, mocking up an example of what your want the sheet to look like after you put the formula where you want it to go.
