Post Need Help with &Today() function

    Hi All

I have summarized a personal finance Spreadsheet and I want to summarize some totals at the bottom of each month.

I have made a bit of a start with "Bills paid in the previous 7 days, to be paid Today, to be paid tomorrow etc.

Please can you help me find the right formula for the following summaries:

I Still need help with :
Bills to be paid this Week
Bills to be paid in the next 7 days
Bills to be paid between now and Pay day

When I say the next week I mean dynamically between now and the next up and coming Sunday
and when I say 7 days I mean dynamically for the next 7 days from when I am viewing the Spreadsheet.

    Many thanks
    A

I think this does what you want:

Bills to be paid in the next 7 days :
    Formula: copy to clipboard

Bills to be paid this week:
    Formula: copy to clipboard

Bills to be paid between now and Pay day: I didn't see the payday date on your spreadsheet but once you provided it the formula will be very similar to the "Bills to be paid in the next 7 days" formula.

Re: Need Help with &Today() function

    Hi Geoff
That is great thank you. A few more questions:

How would the formula be if pay day was always the 28th of the month
and again how would it change if it was always the last working day of the month,
and again how would it change if it was always the last day of the calendar month?
    Many thanks
    Alex

Wow - exercises in date functions! These I think work for your different payday variants. The red highlights are the only parts of the formula that changes. I had to be careful with region differences in date formats in the first formula. I used dd-mmm-yy. m/d/yy would be interpreted differently in US vs UK.)

If payday is the 28th day of the month:

    Formula: copy to clipboard

If payday is the last day of the month:

    Formula: copy to clipboard

If payday is the last working day of the month:

    Formula: copy to clipboard

Hope this helps. Thanks for the rep points!
