    Help with VLOOKUP (I think)

Please watch this short video to see my question. It was easier to put it into a video than type it all out.

As I'm new, the anti-spam tools are preventing me from posting the link to the video. Please type in YouTube's main address and then a slash and then copy and paste the text below:

    Thanks!

Please post your question in the thread, not a video clip. You no doubt expect people to put some effort into helping you, so it would be reasonable to expect a little effort from you in posting a question that follows the rules and basic forum etiquette.

It looks as though your thread has already been reported to admin for something, probably violation of rule 1 on thread title, so you might want to have a look at that as well and change it to something more descriptive while you're typing your question.

Awesome. So taking the time to record and edit a screen capture, narrate the video, encode it, upload it, and then writing out a description about it doesn't qualify as putting a little effort?? Well, I'm curious to know what your definition is of a little effort because to me, I put in a LOT of effort into that video.

I recorded my question to explain it visually so it's easier to understand rather than writing it out and potentially causing lots of confusion.

That's ok though. I'll find another forum.

    Have a nice day.

You may certainly decide to leave this forum and try your luck somewhere else. I would like to explain to you why we prefer you upload directly to our safe site instead of posting to a remote unknown site. Many of our volunteers here are very reluctant to open other sites for fear of ransom ware, virus' or other devious situations. While Youtube is generally believed to be an clean location, we kind of get used to having things under our control on this site. While I am sure that your intentions are honorable in your approach, I hope you can understand this position that many of our volunteers take. I for one, will not open sites that are unknown to me because of this. If you are willing to play within our rules, then we will be happy to help to the best our abilities.
