Extracting date from Excel Date/Time Format

    Good morning Excel Gurus!

When exporting a file from our accounting system into excel I am given the following 'Post Date' format "10/15/2018 1:09:18 PM". I only want the actual date. My limited Excel knowledge would have me pull the applicable Left Characters into a separate cell but when I do that I get the number 43388.5481. Any guidance would be welcomed!

    Thanks.
    -Shawn

Assume your Date/Time is in Cell A1, then in B1 =Int(A1). Format as Date
