Sum/sumif based on specific words within text

I have a sheet of roughly 2,000 investors. I am trying to keep track of each of their investments. Some of them invest indivisually, some invest through a specific account.

For example, John Smith has invested through three different accounts that appear as follows:

Column A Column B
Smith John
Smith John Family, LLC
Smith John IRA

Lets say column C is the shares he purchased in each of those investments.

Is there a formula that would sum the shares in Column C everywhere John Smith invested?

A Pivot Table is the simplest solution. See attached.

Be carefil though with the names. The 3rd Smith name in D9 had a trailing space which meant there were two lines originally in the PT for Smith. i.e. "Smith" & "Smith "
