    New member :) - How do I allocate quarterly payments into weekly forecast/budget plan?

    Hi all, I have been recommended this forum by a colleague who regularly references it. I hope to learn a lot about excel and hopefully even offer advice where possible.

    What I trying to do it complete a full year budget "by week", I have payments which are due daily, monthly and quarterly. I have managed fine with the daily and monthly but am really struggling with the quarterly.

    What I require: I have a payment I know is due once every quarter, I know the last day a payment was made, I need a formula that can identify the next payment date and the relevant week it falls within and also the next 3 after that (so in total I have 4 in the total year). I have over 100 quarterly payments that I need to include hence why a formula would be useful.

    Hi, welcome to the forum

    Apologies for the delayed response

    To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook. The workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

    To attach a file to your post,
    click advanced (next to quick post),
    scroll down until you see "manage file",
    click that and select "add files" (top right corner).
    click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"

    Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
    You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.
