Our users are having issues saving excel on the network drive. The same file is getting saved on the desktop and documents but not on the shared drive.
Removing a sheet with formulas in them enables the file to be saved on the network.
Any suggestions fixing this please.

This sounds very odd. I fail to see why formulae would prevent the file from being saved on a network. Are you sure there is no VBA in the file? What error message do you get? What do you mean exactly be "Excel crashes"? What network protocols are set up that might be interfering? Presumably you have asked the IT team?

Unfortunately i am the systems admin :p . Its very confusing as why its getting saved on the local computer and not in the network. I have disabled protected views, enabled trusted locations but no help. Finally i tried disabling the vlookups and it started to save. But the team needs the vlookup
OK, so the error message tells you the problem: the link in the VLOOKUP is what is causing the issue. You need to look at the other workbooks being references and find out why they are being seen as unsafe. If it's a link to the web, then you need to adjust the security settings on your system to allow that access (but I should not need to be telling you this).

It will be to do with security, I think - more than that I cannot say, and you are the best person to answer that.
