Taking data from regularly updated table

    Hello,

I would like to create a spreadsheet where I paste a small table of information, like this:
    Andrew 55
    Bob 64
    Chris 71

on a regular basis (say once an hour). The spreadsheet would take the number associated with the name and work out the difference from the previous hour. I would like to do this every hour. Ideally, it would also be able to work out an average change over say 12 hours.

I can't find a way of doing this automatically. Is it possible in Excel, and if so, how?

    Thank you.

This formula averages as many prior results as are available up to a maximum of 12.

Anywhere close to what you want? If not then please do as requested in post #2.
