Is there a way to do a formula in excel that removes a value from one cell and places in another cell based on a separate cell having a text value.
Example:
If (cell b10=istext, then place an "x" in cell b5, and remove the "x" from cell b4. The values in these cells are literally an "x' which marks a completed status. I have dollar values that populate off these x's but i am having a hard time with finding a remove & replace formula.

You cannot use formulas to move data from one cell to another. That requires a macro. We can give specific direction if you attach a sample file with more detailed information about what you want to do.
The paper clip icon does not work for attachments. To attach a file, under the text box where you type your reply click the Go Advanced button. On the next screen scroll down and click on Manage Attachments, which will show a pop-up window to Select and Upload a file. Then close the window.
