Post NESTED IF FUNCTION-change order id based on 3 conditions

Hello Everyone,

I am attaching a file from our order entry system. Orders are submitted and they need to be split based on any change is column I. I need to add the A,B or C to make the order unique when column I changes but column A doesn't.

I put a result i am looking for in column F.

Re: IF FUNCTION - not sure

Hi, welcome to the forum

1. Administrative Note:

Welcome to the forum.

We would very much like to help you with your query, however the thread title does not really convey what your request is about.

Please take a moment to amend your thread title. Make sure that the title properly explains your request. Your title should be explicit and not be generic (this includes function names used without an indication of what you are trying to achieve).

Please see Forum Rule #1 about proper thread titles and adjust accordingly. To edit the thread title, open the original post to edit and then click on Go Advanced (bottom right) to access the area where you can edit your title.

(Note: this change is not optional. No help to be offered until this moderation request has been fulfilled.)

2. Please include a sample file, we dont really want to copy/paste or retype your data
To attach a file to your post,
click advanced (next to quick post),
scroll down until you see "manage file",
click that and select "add files" (top right corner).
click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"

Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Re: IF FUNCTION - not sure

I can't add an attachement.

when i click on it, I get a thin yellow bar that doesn't let me upload the attachement. I have tried in 3 different browsers. Any suggestions?

Yes, you can post an attachment, but you need to follow the instructions.

Unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment, so to attach an Excel file you have to do the following: just before posting, scroll down to Go Advanced and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

There is nothing in column I?

Try this in F2 and fill down
Formula: copy to clipboard

This will work with up to 27 models in column E for each reference in column A. This can be increased if needed, but I didn't see the point in overcomplicating it if not necessary.
