Help!!! Conditional Formating across sheets with formula

    Hello guys,

Wondering if anybody can help me with the following problem I am encountering.

So I have 2 sheets in excel. The first sheet is a normal work excel sheet which looks something like this

    A B C D E F
1 Case No. Case Name Owner Area Sales Sales Stage
    2 1 Apple Tom US $10000 Lead
    3 2 Orange June Europe $30000 Won
    4 3 Cherry Leo Japan $40000 Lost

On the 2nd excel sheet I have an overview of these data. All I want to do is to set up a cell on the 2nd sheet for each case which changes colour based on the "Sales Stage" without needing to have the information inside. The colour of the cell will automatically indicate the sales stage. So for example, if it is "lead" then it is yellow, if it is "Won" then it is green, "Lost" then it is red.

To give a brief example. This is how it will look like in the 2nd sheet.

    A
    Cases
1 Apple (This cell will be filled yellow without needing to show the sales stage "Lead" in words)
2 Orange (This cell will be filled green without needing to show the sales stage "Won" in words)
3 Cherry (This cell will be filled red without needing to show the sales stage "Lost" in words)

I'd like to set this up in a way where whenever I change the sales stage of any cases in sheet no.1 the colour of the cell of the respective case in sheet no.2 will automatically change.

I know conditional formating is needed but I do not know what formula to insert here. I guess it is something like vlookup? Please help me with this.

Thank youvery much in advance ))))

you can reference the other sheet using a formula

and setup different formulas for different status

BUT is the case number or case name in both sheets and are they unique ?

something like a countifs() or lookup
to look or count where the ID or name is the same in both sheets and has one of your status

How many status are there ?
just the 3 and three colours = if so, 3 rules
