Hello!
Say I have a table where I am signing in visiters with a TIME IN and TIME OUT columns. I would like to count those who have been signed in but not yet signed out. I want this to be automatic so my employees can know the active headcount without having to know how to use function or count manually.
Example:
Lets just say I would have preset 500 rows on my table and by end of day I signed in 200 people.
Who out of the 500 rows has been signed in but not signed out yet?

Assuming your visitors are in column A, your time in is column B, your time out is column C, try this:

Thank you! But this didn't work for me. I will attach a basic draft of what my spreadsheet looks like. I'd like the function to be in C3

How would the function look if the table didn't have a preset rows? Just adding rows as I go...
There are a couple ways to deal with that. If the information is actually in an Excel Table, the table would automatically adjust size as you add rows, and the formula could refer to table columns rather than Excel columns. If the information isn't in a defined table, you could use dynamic named ranges that could adjust as you add rows.
If you have an example file, you can upload it by clicking Go Advanced, then Manage Attachments (scroll down a bit). Click Browse to find your file, click Open, then click Upload. Finally, click Close this window. Your file will be attached when you submit you reply.
Thank you for you patience. I have uploaded the file. Lets say I am using a table with no defined number of rows - it is forever growing....
Unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment, so to attach an Excel file you have to do the following: just before posting, scroll down to Go Advanced and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.
