A formula to automatically show equivalent in kilograms next pounds

Hi there,

I've been using Excel for years but never really educated myself on how to use formulas as my needs were simple, they still are!

I learnt some for a task, but because I don't use them again for the longest time, I forget.

To prevent my constant head scratching, could please let me know if there's a formula for the below?

Starting from line 240 (if it's relevant?), every time I type in a weight in pounds in column B, I'd like the equivalent in kilograms to show next to it in column C. Therefore, whatever number is in B, it gets divided by 2.2 and the answer automatically appears in C.

Hi and welcome.

You could use either of the below formulas in C240, depending on how accurate you need to be with the calculation. Then copy down each time you put a new date and pound figure in:
=B240/2.2
=CONVERT(B240,"lbm","kg")

Or you could use a table, as per the attached, which will add a new row and copy the formula down automatically when you add a new row of data.
