Formula that references its own location

I am trying to find a formula or macro that will copy a cell directly above the formula. I want to be able to insert cells above the formula, and still have it reference 1 cell above its self. I find i can't do this without a circular reference. Example:

    I want A6 to copy A5
I insert one cell between A6 and A5
    Now i want A7 to copy A6.

    Any ideas? Thanks!
