Formula to identify two languages in many rows

I have thousands of rows in two languages (Spanish and English). I wonder if there's any formula to catch the language format and return a value. I was thinking of Nested IF formulas to check if any of the English alphabets are in the text but the Spanish alphabet used is so similar, as it does not use special characters or symbols, and this can make a really long formula that not always provides the expected result....Is there a simpler way? Maybe you could check for a few common words, like "a", "the", "and", "if" in English (with spaces before and after).
