Question Can I Use Index Match to Get an AVERAGE of multiple cells?

    Hi,

I'm not sure if Index Match can do this and would appreciate some guidance.

I have two sheets inside my workbook:

Sheet1 is where I have a list of players in a baseball league
Sheet2 is where I have a game-by-game breakout of each players stats

Can Index Match be used in this case to index all the data in Sheet2 (Player stats) and quickly give me averages for their data.
    • Column A is where I have all the players names in both sheets
    • Column F in Sheet2 has the Number of Pitches Thrown

What would my Index Match formula be within Sheet1 to fill in an "Average Pitches Per Game" column?

    Thanks in advance.
