    Count dates

    Hi,
    In a row, I have a series of dates, partly in the past, partly in the future.
    I look for the formula with which I can count the dates that match a certain criterium.
    E.G. I would like to know how many dates are older than today.

    I thought about something like =countif(d5:h5;">today()"). I tried the formula with just plain numbers i.s.o. dates and that works.

    Dateformat in attached file is day/month/year.
    Thanks in advance.

    Re: Count dates

    Maybe try instead...

    =COUNTIF(D5:H5;">"&TODAY())
    HTH
