    Calculating Vacation time

    Hello all

    I was hoping for some support on this one.

    I have a excel spreadsheet that calculates vacation hours by using the amount of months working times 6.7 hours.

    Now I have several workers who have vacation over the maximum amount and the "amount of months" equation does no work.
    So basically I need a formula that takes their current hours earned and adds 6.7 automatically per month. with a maximum of 120.

    Any idea?

    Attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

    Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

    Attached is the spreadsheet I use, the green columns. The highlighted yellow block is where I realized I need a new formula

    Try moving the closing parenthesis so that the formula for I2 reads: =MIN(120, G2-H2+F2)
    When dragged down to I4 the cell will display 120.
    In column G =SUM(C2*6.7) could be written as =C2*6.7
