Display a cell if cell x = exact and cell y = close(a date)

I have no idea how to describe this. Lol.

So I have data pull from our SQL and I cannot link 2 tables so I though about doing it in excel.

I am doing job costing and price. I have one tab with all the job costings and another for the sell price. I cannot do a vlookup as the price may have changed through the life cycle of the part. And I need the part number and date be the determining factor of pulling in the price.

Issue being the exact date may not match. It could be several days between the job date and price date.

Does that make sense?

On sheet "part analysis" you have column "closeddate"
On sheet "sale price" you have column "shipdate"

given on part analysis sheet, partnum=06ND78010-22 with closed date=01/05/2015

then on sale price sheet, you have shipdates:
06/28/2019
04/18/2019
03/15/2019

So, what/where are exact date, job date and price date?

In the file I can not find part number 01ND-36003-11 on the Sale Price sheet.
As to the screen shot I am guessing that K5:K6 and K8 should receive the sales price from 12/9/16 as C5:C6 and C8 are all later than that date. However why does K9, dated 4/26/16, receive the sales price from 10/31/16 instead of 2/17/16. I am lost as to where the sales price of K10 should come. I would suggest uploading a small sample, manually typing the sales prices in column K and then giving details as to why the value in column K comes from a specific sales price date.
