Formula to extract data from rows in two worksheets

So we have tab 1 and tab 2 and I am looking to pull various bits of information from both tabs to form the one summary page.

For example, tab 1 will have one line for each person, but tab two will have various lines for the same person, this is driven mainly by column O 'Question' with the answer in column S.

Is there a way to do this, perhaps from copying down the policy numbers on the summary in column A, we can extract the various column info in tab 2 to the summary?

    Please see attached example.

This looks like a straightforward merge and transformation using Power Query (Get & Transform Data) - but your requirement is not clearly enough defined to actually write the query, yet.

You need to either improve the definition of the required outputs and / or improve the relevance of the sample data.

I can guess that output column "BSI" relates to Product Risk = Buildings (or perhaps Product Sub Risk?), Question = Sum Insured - but there's inadequate data / definition to establish the other columns.

Don't forget - you are close to your data and business logic, but we're not - we only have what you post, to work with
let Source = #table({"Question","Thread", "User"},{{"Answered","Mark Solved", "Add Reputation"}}) in Source

If I give you Power Query (Get & Transform Data) code, and you don't know what to do with it, then CLICK HERE

    Thanks for the reply.

I am not familiar with Power Query yet.

Is there not a way to use index match and offset to achieve this? I would like to end up with a template that can be used over and over.

Only if you answer the questions.

By the way, a PowerQuery solution can be used over and over as well.

    Hi

Please see attached 'Example2'. I have added comments in red bold in sheet 1 row 2 above headers.

Is this ok? I have mixed up any personal data contained within so everything is now essentially dummy data.

No - it's far too big and there are no expected outcomes.

Provide a cut-down version (say 10 rows of data on each sheet) and manually mock up the result sheet as you want it to appear.
