m,aking highest value in one colum match the same cell in another colum

    the burnt orance cell is
    =LARGE(C167:C196, 1)
so i am picking up the largest cell value in the colum

I then want to select colum a and match this 60 to it so it should read 3.3 which is cell A180 yet it reads cell a196 which is 6.4 and it is confusing the hell out of me

and I am using =LOOKUP(C157,A167:D196,A167:A196)in cell d157 to do this
    please advise

all i want to do is get a value for the highest cell in colum C starting at CELL 168 ONWARDS AND MATCH COLUMS A to it
    cant do it help!!!!!

Please attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

I can tell you now that merged cells are a no no!!!
