Simple formula needed to count cells based on item names in other cells

I need a formula to count how many of an item based on a list.
WS attached

I have 4 fruits listed in A2:A5.
B2:B5 is where the totals for each needs to go.

B8:B20 displays a number of each item and the item is listed on A8:A20.

Basically need it to count how many Apples listed A8:A20 and total B8:B20 thenenter amount of Apples in B2.
Same for the remaining 3 items.

Try this in F2 and copy down
