Retrieve data in a table with formulas

    Hello everyone,

    I have a problem below :
Basically i'm looking for a formula that retrieves all the values linked to a value and that can be incremented.

I have a big data table like this:
Name Status Shift Date Hour Min Sec
    Bob C/Out S2 23/08/2019 2 4 8
    Bob C/In S1 23/08/2019 10 42 14
    Bob C/Out SC 23/08/2019 23 59 26
    Jim C/In S1 22/08/2019 9 9 23
    Rob C/Out
    Bob C/In
    Bob C/In

So Bob clocked out the 23/08/2019 at 02:04 AM and clocked in again at 10:42AM, and so on.

I want to retrieve from this table values sorted by C/In, C/Out, etc .
For example I want to find name occurrences with "C/In".
So with a formula, If it's Bob and C/In retrieve all the S1/S2.

With a If formula it just gives me a lot of blank, I'd a formula that I can increment so that I don't need to filter it all the time to delete the blanks (when the If is not true)

Thanks for your help and please do tell me if i'm not clear enough.

Re: Retrieve data in a table with formulas

    Welcome to the forum

Please attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

Since your names are ambiguous I would start with the dates column. So in N:
Please Login or Register to view this content.
Array formula in N, so you need Ctrl+Shift+Enter instead of regular Enter
    in M:
Please Login or Register to view this content.
In O and drag to Q:
Please Login or Register to view this content.
For the other status, you just need the same formulas, only the status in array formula to be changed
Click the * to say thanks.
