    Lookup & Match - Find WK # of last entry

    Hi All,

    I have 2 separate worksheets;
    Sheet 1 is my table of raw date, with 2 headings (ColA = WK# and ColB = Job#)

    Sheet 2, ColA = WK# and ColB = formula in sheet2 B2 to calculate the last WK# from sheet 1 which there is a record of the job number referenced in Sheet2 A2

    H1.

    1. Ensure consistency. F1 is not the same as F 1.

    2. A non-working formula doesn't help. A few manually calculated expected results do help.

    3. Try:
    =IFERROR(LOOKUP(2,1/(Sheet1!$B$2:$B$95=A2),Sheet1!$A$2:$A$95),"")

    copied down, AFTER the inconsistency at 1 has been fixed.

    Your values in Sheet2!A:A don't match the ones in Sheet1!B:B (extra spaces in Sheet1). If you correct that then you can use the following in B2 of Sheet2:

    You can then copy that down column B in Sheet2.

    Thanks works in my sample excel doc, but when i transferred to my googlesheets doc it didn't work but used a MAXIFS formula and works perfectly

    Thanks for your support, I now understand how to interact a match request in lookup.

    You might have wanted to mention that in the original request. I avoided MAXIFS based on your profile saying Excel 2010!
