copying of formula from one workbook to another

Hi

I need some advice on copying of formulas. I copied a formula from one workbook to another. The copied formula referenced the previous workbook highlighted in bold. Is there a way for excel not to do that and just copy the original formula as it is.

If it's just one formula, press F2 to edit the cell, select the formula in the form box, copy it, and paste it in the second workbook.

If it's multiple cells, select them all and use Replace All and change the equals sign ( = ) to an unusual string, for example, £££. Then copy the selected cells and paste them in the second workbook. Finally, use Replace All to change the £££ back to an equals sign.
