Match names with leave type and date

    Dear Friends,

I have attached a workbook in which I record daily attendance of my staff (in Main sheet).

I need to get the output in different sheets.

    Like -

Full Day Leave - whoever has availed "Full Day Leave" against their name, the dates they availed "Full Day Leave" must be listed.

    Similarly,
Half Day Leave - whoever has availed "Half Day Leave" against their name, the dates they availed "Half Day Leave" must be listed.

I have given the output sheet also in which the sample output results are provided.

Hope, friends, you will help me to find the formula (something with Index & Match).

    Please...

re: Match names with leave type and date

In B4, copied across and down:

    =IFERROR(INDEX(Main!$2:$2,AGGREGATE(15,6,COLUMN(Main!$D$2:$O$2)/(INDEX(Main!$D:$O,MATCH('Full Day Leave'!B$2,Main!$B:$B,0),)="Full Day Leave"),ROWS(B$4:B4))),"")

Use the same formula with leave type amended, for the other leave type.

BtW. I just noticed your thread title was very weak. It should resemble the terms you would use in a Google search. Your title would produce NO useful hits. To be honest, mine is not much better, but it does at least describe what you want to do.

Normally, I would lock your thread down and get YOU to make the cvhange (you have been here long enough to know the rules). However, since you will have had an email from the forum, complete with my formula, that seems a bit pointless. So I have changed it for you. This time. Not next time!! If the title's not good enough, the thread WILL be locked until YOU change the title.

If it's OK, please amend your profile. You are clearly using something later than Excel 2007!!

    You're welcome.
